Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting your book for the American Book Awards!
We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

  • Literary Fiction
  • Mystery/Thriller
  • Romance
  • Science Fiction/Fantasy
  • Graphic Novels
  • Young Adult Fiction
  • Children's Books

To submit your book for consideration, please follow these steps:

  • Make sure your book is available for purchase on Amazon.com.
  • Go to the American Book Awards submission page and select the category that best fits your book.
  • Fill out the submission form with your book's information, including its title, author, and ISBN.
  • Provide a brief description of your book and why you think it should be considered for the award.
  • Click "Submit" to complete your submission.

Please note that there is a $175 fee for each submission. We look forward to considering your book for the American Book Awards. Thank you for participating!

Eligibility

  • Books must be available for purchase on Amazon.com.
  • Submissions must be made through the American Book Awards submission page.
  • Submissions must be made in one of the following categories: Literary Fiction, Mystery/Thriller, Romance, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Graphic Novels, Young Adult Fiction, Children's Books (Picture Books and Middle Grade).
  • A completed submission form must be submitted, including the book's title, author, and ISBN.
  • A brief description of the book and a statement on why it should be considered for the award must be provided.
  • A $75 fee must be paid for each submission.
  • Submissions must be made by the deadline specified on the submission page.
  • Books must have been published within the past two years to be eligible.
  • Only one book per author may be submitted.
  • Self-published books are eligible for submission.
